Before & After: APT #5

After few months of subletting in the crazy hectic lower Manhattan, I encountered this pre-war apartment with high ceiling in the peaceful upper west side near Central Park that completely contrasts with where I was living, I knew this is the apartment I am looking for as for I can imagine myself living in the space.Since I am a recent graduate from overseas, I don't want to spend too much on renovation. So I set a limit on my budget, and did only smaller installations like curtains and wall decal. I am privileged enough to be given the opportunities to travel around the States and to London/Paris, to do art and receive artwork produced by close friends at RISD. Therefore, my goal for the space is to display and showcase the artwork I have collected throughout the years around the world while embracing the original architecture. The vibe of the living room is aimed to be clutter-free, cozy yet lively, while the bedroom is a lot more quiet and minimal as it is meant to be a space for a restful mind.
